Madeleine Stringer joined Chenette, Boutique de Litige Inc. in January 2026. Ms. Stringer began her career at a major Quebec law firm, where she progressed from student to articling student at the Quebec Bar, and then as a civil and commercial litigation lawyer.

Ms. Stringer practices disciplinary and administrative law, professional liability, and media law.

Ms. Stringer obtained her Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree at the Université du Québec à Montréal in 2023. During her studies, Ms. Stringer participated in the Laskin Canada-wide Moot Court Competition and took part in a student exchange with the University of Bologna in Italy. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2024.

Alexandrine Touzin-Laberge joined Chenette, boutique de litige inc. in January 2026. Ms. Touzin-Laberge began her career at a major Quebec law firm, where she progressed from student to articling student at the Quebec Bar, and then as a civil and commercial litigation lawyer.

Ms. Touzin-Laberge practices in medical liability, disciplinary and professional law, as well as defamation and media law. As part of her practice, Ms. Touzin-Laberge pleads before various judicial and administrative tribunals.

Me Touzin-Laberge holds a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) degree from Université de Sherbrooke, where she was actively involved, notably as a tutor for her peers and as a volunteer for Pro Bono Students Canada, where she helped provide access to justice for people in need. She also honed her conflict resolution skills by completing a microprogram in dispute prevention and resolution at the same university and a certificate in negotiation from Harvard Business School Online. She was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2023.

Sandrine Masri joined Chenette, Litigation Boutique Inc. in August 2025.

Ms. Masri began her litigation career as a student and then an articling student at a major Quebec law firm. She is passionate about health law and media law.

Ms. Masri’s practice focuses in disciplinary and administrative law, professional liability, and media law.

She obtained a Bachelor of Civil Law (B.C.L.), a Juris Doctor (J.D.)  and a Minor in Political Science from McGill University. She also completed an academic exchange at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2025.

Alexandra Barkany joined Chenette, Litigation Boutique inc. at the dawn of 2024. Her career path began with a major Quebec firm, where she progressed from student to articling student at the Quebec Bar, then to civil and commercial litigation lawyer. She has been actively involved in a wide variety of cases, from researching and drafting procedures to representing clients before various judicial and administrative bodies.

Ms. Barkany’s practice focuses on medical liability, disciplinary and professional law, as well as defamation and media law.

Keen to contribute to social justice, Ms. Barkany sits on the boards of organizations working for causes close to her heart.

Ms. Barkany obtained a bachelor’s degree in law from the Université de Montréal, during which she participated in a student exchange program with the University of Bologna, Italy. She continued her legal studies at Université de Montréal at the Master’s level, while holding a position as a research assistant. Her master’s thesis focused on the legal framework of public denunciation in the health sector. She was called to the Quebec Bar in 2022.

Davina Bastarache joined Chenette, Litigation Boutique Inc. in May 2018 following the accomplishment of her articling for the Quebec Bar at a major Quebec law firm, where she worked on various mandates in insurance, health and disciplinary law.

Ms. Bastarache’s practice focuses on medical liability, professional and disciplinary law, as well as defamation and media law.

Ms. Bastarache completed her Bachelor’s degree in Law (L.L.B.) at the Université de Sherbrooke in 2016.  She is also in the process of obtaining a Master’s degree in Biology (M.Sc.) under the same program.  Ms. Bastarache also holds a certificate in Business Law and Contractual Practices (Microprogram) obtained in 2017 at the Université de Montréal. During her studies, she was a member of several boards of the student community of the Université de Sherbrooke; as well as spokesperson for the Faculty of Law at the graduation ceremony in 2016. Ms. Bastarache was called to the Quebec Bar in 2018.

Valérie Lafond joined Chenette, Litigation Boutique Inc. in January 2024. Previously, she practiced with national and regional firms in civil and professional liability (medical and hospital) and insurance law.

Ms. Lafond’s practice focuses on disciplinary law, medical liability and media law. In particular, she advises and assists professionals in the investigation processes of professional orders (disciplinary or otherwise). She also pleads before civil and administrative tribunals and disciplinary boards.

Ms. Lafond obtained her bachelor’s degree in law from Université de Sherbrooke in 2010 and a master’s degree in law from Université de Montréal (with honours) in 2015 under the supervision of Professor Patrice Deslauriers. She was called to the Bar in 2011.
